All our tutors are published authors and there will be an opportunity to buy
signed copies of their books. Their fields of expertise are wide-ranging.

Please note that Sian Northey and Non Prys Ivans will give workshops through the medium of Welsh.



Karen Ankers

Karen is a poet, author and playwright. Her poetry collection, "One Word At A Time", has been described as "a collection that shines with honesty and integrity". Her plays have been performed in the UK, USA, Australia and Malaysia, and her first novel, "The Crossing Place" has received excellent reviews.



DeAnn Bell

DeAnn teaches Creative Writing at Bangor University. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the National Association of Writers in Education. Her recent publications include “The Missing”, “Crone Maiden” and Normal Deviation: A Weird Fiction Anthology co-edited by herself, and featuring her short story “Blind Date”.
After teaching in Primary schools for a number of years Peter has spent the last 4 trying his hand as a writer of comedy scripts; radio, TV, theatre and short screenplays. Winner of the 2016 Script Slam Pint Sized Play award, Writers Guild candidate member, feebly attempted monologue performer and leader of a writing cult that meets once a month in Conwy Library, Peter has also run workshops!


Non Ifans

Non is from Anglesey but now lives in Caernarfon with her family. Non enjoys writing, especially microfiction and has published pieces in Poetry Wales and Taliesin and won in Eisteddfod Môn. She has an MA in the Teaching and Practice of Creative Writing.


Pauline Kenyon

Pauline has published 15 educational and children’s books, plus is a regular contributor to a range of publication and magazines. She was a founder member of a local writers’ group and the  Montage books and Festival committees, leading many tutoring sessions - including at the first Anglesey Writing Festival and Beaumaris Festival.


Patricia Lennan

Patricia is the author of 'Owl at Midnight,' a historical novel based on the life of Gwenllian the last Princess of Wales. Living on Anglesey since 1981 she has developed a great interest in local history.  Patricia has a background in education, health and freelance writing. She has also published a non- fiction book and short stories. 


Joy Mawby

After a professional life in education and a lifetime of writing, I retired to Anglesey. I joined a writing group in Amlwch and later became its tutor. I also instituted another group in Llangefni. I have written three books of other people’s memoirs and am currently writing my own. I regularly deliver writing workshops and readings of my work.


Tony Mcintyre

I am not famous nor a celebrity name. I write for pleasure and enjoy reading my work to family and friends. I have been published in an online magazine called Scrittura to which I regularly contribute. I have run several workshops in my group.


Sian Northey

Sian is a freelance poet and author writing for both adults and children. Her third novel for adults “Perthyn” will be published by Gomer this spring. She has a special interest in writing and health and wellbeing.

 

Fiona Owen

Fiona has had five collections of poetry published, the most recent being The Green Gate (Cinnamon Press). She writes and records songs with Gorwel Owen, runs Eye of the Storm writing days, and teaches creative writing, literature and other arts/humanities subjects for the Open University.

Jean Roberts

Jean studied English Literature with Creative Writing at Bangor University and has had several short stories, poems and articles published online. She is currently working on her novel, set on Anglesey where she lives, about a dysfunctional relationship, inheritance and a dark family secret.

 Anne-Marie Smith

Anne-Marie is a Lecturer in Education and trainee Poetry Therapy Practitioner. She is passionate about enabling others to find their ‘voice’ through reflective and spontaneous writing. Alongside fulltime University teaching, she runs Writing for Wellbeing workshops for groups and

Mae DeAnn yn addysgu Ysgrifennu Creadigol ym Mhrifysgol Bangor. Mae’n Gymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch, ac yn aelod o’r ‘National Association of Writers in Education’. Mae ei chyhoeddiadau diweddar yn cynnwys “The Missing”, “Crone Maiden” a Normal Deviation: A Weird Fiction Anthology a gyd-olygwyd ganddi hi ei hun, ac sy’n cynnwys ei stori fer, “Blind Date”.
Ar ôl addysgu mewn ysgolion cynradd am nifer o flynyddoedd, mae Peter wedi treulio’r 4 mlynedd ddiwethaf yn rhoi cynnig ar ysgrifennu sgriptiau comedi; radio, teledu, theatr a sgriptiau ffilmiau byrion. Roedd yn enillydd gwobr ‘Script Slam Pint Sized Play’ 2016, mae’n aelod ymgeisydd y ‘Writers Guild’, wedi rhoi cynnig tila ar berfformio monolog, ac mae’n arweinydd cwlt ysgrifennu sy’n cyfarfod unwaith y mis yn Llyfrgell Conwy.

Non Ifans

Mae Non yn wreiddiol o Fôn ond bellach wedi ymgatrefu yn Nghaernarfon gyda ei theulu bach. Mae Non yn mwynhau ysgrifennu, yn enwedig llen meicro a wedi cyhoeddi darnau yn Taliesin  a Poetry Wales ac wedi ennill yn Eisteddfod Môn. Mae ganddi radd Meistr mewn Dysgu ac Ymarfer Ysgrifennu Creadigol.


Pauline Kenyon

Mae Pauline wedi cyhoeddi 15 o lyfrau addysgol a llyfrau i blant, ac mae’n cyfrannu’n rheolaidd at amrywiaeth o gyhoeddiadau a chylchgronau. Roedd yn aelod gwreiddiol grŵp o ysgrifenwyr lleol a phwyllgorau llyfrau a Gŵyl Montage, gan arwain nifer o sesiynau tiwtora – yn cynnwys yng Ngŵyl Ysgrifennu gyntaf Ynys Môn a Gŵyl Biwmares.


Patricia Lennan

Mae Patricia yn awdur 'Owl at Midnight’, nofel hanesyddol wedi’i seilio ar fywyd Gwenllian, tywysoges olaf Cymru. Mae’n byw ar Ynys Môn er 1981 ac wedi datblygu diddordeb brwd mewn hanes lleol.  Cefndir mewn addysg, iechyd ac ysgrifennu llawrydd sydd gan Patricia. Mae hi hefyd wedi cyhoeddi llyfr ffeithiol a straeon byrion.  

Joy Mawby

Ar ôl bywyd proffesiynol mewn addysg ac oes o ysgrifennu, mi wnes i ymddeol i Ynys Môn. Ymunais â grŵp ysgrifennu yn Amlwch ac yn ddiweddarach, bu i mi ddod yn diwtor ar gyfer y grŵp. Mi wnes i hefyd sefydlu grŵp arall yn Llangefni. Rydw i wedi ysgrifennu tri llyfr o hunangofiannau pobl eraill, ac rydw i wrthi’n ysgrifennu fy hunangofiant fy hun. Rydw i’n cyflwyno gweithdai ysgrifennu a darlleniadau o’m gwaith yn rheolaidd.

Tony Mcintyre

Dydw i ddim yn enwog nac yn enw adnabyddus. Rydw i’n ysgrifennu er pleser ac yn mwynhau darllen fy ngwaith i deulu a ffrindiau. Cyhoeddwyd fy ngwaith mewn cylchgrawn ar-lein o’r enw Scrittura, a byddaf yn cyfrannu’n rheolaidd at hwn. Rydw i wedi cynnal sawl gweithdy yn fy ngrŵp.

Mae Sian yn fardd ac awdur llawrydd sydd yn ysgrifennu ar gyfer plant ac oedolion. Bydd ei thrydedd nofel ar gyfer oedolion.

1960au Sefydlodd John ‘The Scaffold’, grŵp comedi a cherddoriaeth, teithiodd yn helaeth, a chael tair record yn y DEG UCHAF. 1970au Teithiodd ‘The Scaffold’ wedi’i gyfuno gyda ‘The Bonzo Dog Band’ fel ‘GRIMMS’, ledled Prydain, gan ryddhau sawl LP. 1980au Gweithiodd ym maes teledu mewn gwahanol swyddi, o ysgrifennwr a chyflwynydd i berfformiwr a chyfarwyddwr. Cyrhaeddodd ei gân Bucket of Water y 30 UCHAF. 1990au Enillodd wobr Sony am y defnydd gorau o gomedi ar radio.

Jean Roberts

Mae Jean wedi astudio Llenyddiaeth Saesneg gydag Ysgrifennu Creadigol ym Mhrifysgol Bangor a chyhoeddwyd nifer o’i straeon byrion, cerddi ac erthyglau ar-lein. Mae hi wrthi’n gweithio ar ei nofel, wedi’i gosod ar Ynys Môn lle mae’n byw, ynghylch perthynas camweithredol, etifeddiaeth a chyfrinach dywyll teulu.

Anne-Marie Smith

Mae Anne-Marie yn Ddarlithydd mewn Addysg ac yn Ymarferwr Therapi Barddoniaeth dan hyfforddiant. Mae’n frwd ynghylch galluogi eraill i ddod o hyd i’w ‘llais’ drwy ysgrifennu adfyfyriol a digymell. Ynghyd ag addysgu’n llawn-amser yn y Brifysgol, mae’n cynnal gweithdai Ysgrifennu er Lles i grwpiau ac unigolion. Mae Anne-Marie yn byw yng ngogledd Cymru gyda’i gŵr Peter, a chath o’r enw Mitsy, sy’n cynnig gwersi beunyddiol mewn celfyddyd myfyrio heddychlon..
